The USTTI–GCF Empowering Women to Leadership in Cyber program directly equips participants with the technical, strategic, and interpersonal skills needed to lead in a rapidly evolving field.

Taught by subject matter experts from government, industry, academia, and civil society, the training provides emerging female leaders with: leadership strategies; the knowledge to oversee and manage cybersecurity operations; the skills to develop a culture of cybersecurity within the context of a developing economy; and the tools to reduce leadership barriers. By combining leadership development with on-the-ground learning, the program aims to empower the participants to build strong cybersecurity cultures, manage operations effectively, and contribute meaningfully to national and organizational cyber resilience.

The program enables participants to: learn from global experts through high-impact guest-speaker sessions; gain real-world insights during site visits to leading institutions; and build professional fluency through hands-on workshops and interactive learning experiences. Participants will engage in interactive sessions by exchanging challenges, collaborating on solutions, and forming a community of practice that extends beyond the program.
