USTTI Summer Update

From June to August officials from Argentina, The Bahamas, Bangladesh, Benin, Cambodia, Cameroon, Egypt, Eswatini, Gambia, Ghana, Indonesia, Jamaica, Jordan, Kenya, Laos, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Paraguay,  The Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, St. Lucia, Suriname, Timor-Leste, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Vietnam and Zambia participated in the USTTI’s Second Trimester courses.

The courses addressed Telecommunications Policy and Regulation, 5G, Cloud Services, IoT, Cybersecurity, Child Online Protection and Competition Policy.  The courses were led by subject matter experts from AT&T, Ericsson, The Federal Communications Commission, The GSMA, ICANN, Intel, Latham and Watkins LLP, Microsoft, Packet ClearingHouse, The Atlas Institute and the University of Colorado, the US Department of Justice and QUALCOMM.

Third Trimester Courses

USTTI will begin our Third Trimester of Courses on September 9th. The full list of courses can be found HERE. While participation has been finalized for our popular Satellite, Spectrum Management and Cybersecurtiy Sequences, applications are still being reviewed and acceptances issued for our Telehealth and Emergency Communications trainings. USTTI TCI 5G Spectrum Course

USTTI and TCI will conduct a three day training seminar “Spectrum Management and Monitoring in the 5G World.” The intensive three day session (Course 19-312) will be conducted in Helsinki, Finland from September 24-26 and will cover trends and practical solutions for today and future signal environments including presentations, panel discussions, demonstrations and group discussions on: 5G Opportunities & Challenges for Spectrum Regulators; 5G: Standards Overview; 5G: Mobile Equipment Supplier / Operator Perspective; 5G: Validation, Characterization and Conformance Testing; 5G: Use Cases and Requirements- EMBB, MIoT, MCS; 5G: Balanced Spectrum Management (Licensed, Unlicensed and Shared Spectrum); 5G: Spectrum Monitoring in a 5G World; Distributed Monitoring: Sensor Requirement, Measurement Planning; Spectrum Monitoring and Coverage Analysis and Tools for data management.
