Internet Policymaking in a Multistakeholder Environment

Course Description
This one week Seminar, for senior policy leaders, will share information about and provide experience in the multistakeholder process - which involves convening stakeholders from companies, civil society, and academia to develop consensus-based Internet policy. The week-long workshop will combine guest lectures by representatives of federal government agencies, civil society organizations, technical expert bodies and other multistakeholder organizations with role-playing exercises.

* Define multistakeholder policymaking and identify related issues and concepts;

* Identify and describe multistakeholder governance structures;

* Identify the stakeholders and their roles and responsibilities; and

* Describe multistakeholder decision-making structures and rules of engagement
